However, yesterday when I found out the Jay Z is actually a follower of Satanism and that some of his songs contain subliminal messages, I have to say I was very disturbed and kinda freaked out. But apparently he is not the only one following these odd beliefs.
Beyonce, Rhianna, Lil Wayne, Timbaland, Kanye West, Omarion and God knows who else is, are all allegedly part of this "cult". "Run this Town" for example, is filled with subliminal messages that we're not even fully aware of. At the end of the song Jay Z, Rhianna and Kanye West all make the Occult symbol using their hands and the whole video shows images of burning and the colour black, representing the devil and all the evils of the world. The same Occult symbol can be found on many of Jay Z's designs for his fashion label "Rocawear".
In his song "Lucifer", Jay Z uses a technique called "backmasking" where, when the track is played backwards, certain words can be made out. Words such as "666 Murder Murder Jesus" can be heard in this track. (If you don’t believe me, listen to it yourself on Youtube) Furthermore, he also proclaims himself as Jay-Hova, an obvious play on the word Jehovah.
Is it just me or this whole thing really really weird?
I mean, who knows! It could all just be a huge conspiracy theory but there seems to be a hell of a lot of evidence to back up the fact that it is true. Well, if that is the case then I have lost serious respect for them all and if they are in fact trying to use subliminal messages in their videos to try and influence us then, wow, good luck, because I for one have absolutly no interest in Satanism, the Anti-Christ or any of the malarky.
I also found out that Queens hit song "Another one bites the dust" apparently had a subliminal message. When played backwards the words "Its fun to smoke Marijuana" can be heard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MMMjLDdH-A Coincidence or intentional? Only they know, but hey! It is amusing!
